The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for managing high-value partnerships, driving profitable growth, and improving partner engagement through strategic planning and execution. This role requires strong commercial judgment, the ability to build trusted relationships, and a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with external partners, understanding their business models, priorities, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Build comprehensive partner strategies by analyzing organizational structures, market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Identify opportunities to expand partnerships, increase production, and develop new business opportunities.
- Represent the organization in partner meetings, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Establish strong relationships across partner organizations, including executive leadership, sales teams, producers, and operational stakeholders.
- Create and execute strategic initiatives designed to improve partner performance and long-term profitability.
- Analyze portfolio performance, industry trends, and business metrics to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop processes, workflows, and best practices that benefit both partners and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against performance goals, provide reporting insights, and support forecasting activities.
- Manage complex partner challenges by identifying root causes, developing solutions, and ensuring successful execution.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in account management, sales, and strategic partnerships, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with college coursework preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, strategic account management, or relationship management.
- 3+ years of insurance industry experience preferred, with commercial insurance experience strongly valued.
- Experience managing complex partnerships involving multiple stakeholders and business functions.
- Experience working with payroll distribution channels is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets through relationship development and consultative selling.
- Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate business insights into actionable initiatives.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities with experience managing complex situations and anticipating future needs.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with strong executive presence.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate cross-functionally, and build trust across diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
- Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Looker, G-Suite, collaboration platforms, and virtual meeting tools is preferred.
- Competitive base compensation range of $110,000 - $135,000 USD.
