Description:

The People & Culture (P&C) Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing day-to-day People & Culture operations across the employee lifecycle. This role provides support in areas including onboarding and offboarding, HRIS, recruiting, payroll and benefits administration, and other P&C programs.

Essential Functions

  • Support day-to-day People & Culture operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, leaves, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Coordinate and support new hire orientation to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring through initial interviews/phone screenings, scheduling interviews with management, and maintaining records within the applicant tracking system.
  • Support rollout and adoption of performance management processes (via Paylocity).
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment changes and coordination with benefits providers.
  • Prepare employment documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Provide support for bi-weekly payroll, including entering payroll data, validating compensation changes, auditing deductions and contributions, and assisting with the resolution of discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate payroll.
  • Assist with HR projects and process improvements as assigned.
  • Support day-to-day workplace operations as needed by assisting with administrative tasks, including managing the main phone line and greeting visitors.
  • All other work as assigned.
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, and employment-related federal and state regulations (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, state leave programs, etc.).
  • Experience using an HRIS platform; Paylocity experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret payroll, benefits, and HR data with strong attention to accuracy and audit trail requirements.
  • Understanding of multi-state payroll considerations, tax withholding, and compliance obligations.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 2-5+ years of related experience required preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Experience working with an HRIS and proficiency in Google Workspace required.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to bend, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Less than 10% travel
