JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary

Support the Industrial Engineering team in improving manufacturing processes, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. The Industrial Engineering Intern will assist with process analysis, data collection, continuous improvement projects, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Head of Industrialization

Key Responsibilities
  • Support manufacturing process improvement initiatives
  • Collect, analyze, and report production and operational data
  • Assist with time studies and workflow analysis
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities
  • Support development and maintenance of work instructions and process documentation
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance
  • Support capacity planning and production line optimization efforts
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
  • Assist with layout planning and material flow improvements
  • Support implementation of standard work and visual management practices
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
  • Assist with tracking project progress and documenting results
  • Support health, safety, and environmental initiatives
  • Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
