Job Title: Sales Development Representative
Reports to: Sales Operations Manager
Supervises: N/A
Position Summary
The Sales Development Representative is responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities by engaging prospective healthcare clients across the company’s service lines. This role focuses on outbound prospecting to medical and dental practices, identifying decision makers, and uncovering operational pain points including billing inefficiencies, credentialing delays, onboarding challenges, and payment workflow issues.
The SDR builds pipeline across MedBill, Myriad Health, and Medipay by qualifying leads and scheduling high quality meetings for the sales team.
Key Performance Areas & Key Performance Indicators:
Lead Generation & Prospecting: (40%) KPIs: (1) 40 to 60 outbound emails per day (2) 20 to 30 LinkedIn connections per day (3) 40 to 60 outbound calls per day (4) Lead to Appointment Conversion Rate: 20% to 25%
- Conduct high volume outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, Reddit, Facebook, phone, and email outreach
- Target medical practices, dental practices, group practices, and healthcare organizations
- Research and identify providers, office managers, and billing decision makers
- Build pipeline across MedBill, Myriad Health, and Medipay service lines
- Utilize CRM and sales engagement tools to track outreach activity and engagement
- Maintain consistent outreach cadence across assigned campaigns and verticals
Lead Qualification & Discovery: (30%) KPI’s: (1) 12 to 15 qualified appointments per month (2) 8 to 10 SQLs per month (3) Appointment to SQL Conversion Rate: 60% to 70%
- Conduct discovery conversations to identify operational pain points related to revenue cycle management, credentialing, onboarding, and payment workflows
- Qualify leads based on company criteria including practice size, urgency, service need, and alignment with offerings
- Clearly communicate solutions available through MedBill, Myriad Health, and Medipay
- Ensure accurate and detailed handoff of qualified opportunities to PMC or Inside Sales teams
- Maintain professionalism and consultative communication throughout the sales process
CRM Management & Reporting: (20%) KPI’s: (1) 100% activity logging within 24 hours (2) 95% data accuracy within CRM records
- Accurately document all prospect interactions, notes, and qualification details in CRM
- Maintain visibility into pipeline activity by service line
- Ensure proper categorization and tracking of opportunities
- Monitor outreach effectiveness across campaigns and healthcare verticals
- Analyze outreach and engagement data to refine targeting strategies
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: (10%) KPI’s: (1) Attend 90% of internal trainings and team meetings
- Collaborate with billing, credentialing, onboarding, and account services teams to strengthen product and operational knowledge
- Partner with PMC teams to ensure seamless handoff of qualified opportunities
- Participate in training related to healthcare workflows, EHR systems, and revenue cycle processes
- Provide feedback regarding lead quality, campaign effectiveness, and outreach messaging
- Continuously improve outreach strategies based on performance metrics and industry trends
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales development, business development, or inside sales
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, healthcare technology, or related industries preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to meet or exceed outreach and lead generation targets
- Ability to identify and articulate operational challenges within healthcare practices
- Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volume outreach activities
