Position Summary:
MFM Health is seeking a Full-Time, in clinic Clinical Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the multispecialty Medical Assistant (MA) team and support efficient, high-quality patient care delivery across specialty services. This role provides day-to-day supervision, workflow coordination, staff support, and operational oversight to ensure clinical operations run smoothly and patient care standards are consistently maintained.
The Clinical Supervisor serves as a resource for clinical staff and collaborates closely with providers, practice leadership, and operational teams to support patient flow, regulatory compliance, staff development, and a positive patient experience. While the primary focus of this role is oversight of Medical Assistants, the position may also provide support and supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) as organizational needs evolve.
This position reports directly to the Director of Specialty Operations and works in partnership with clinical and administrative leadership to support departmental goals and operational excellence.

- Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to Medical Assistants across multispecialty services.
- Support oversight of LPN and RN staff as applicable to operational needs and departmental structure.
- Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one check-ins, coaching sessions, and performance discussions.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, and training of clinical support staff.
- Monitor staff performance and collaborate with the Director of Specialty Operations and Human Resources on performance improvement plans or corrective action when needed.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment that supports staff engagement and professional growth.
- Serve as a day-to-day resource for clinical staff regarding workflows, policies, and operational questions.
- Oversee daily clinical support operations to ensure efficient patient flow and clinic readiness.
- Coordinate and maintain staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage across specialty services.
- Adjust staffing assignments in response to provider schedules, PTO requests, call-outs, and patient volume fluctuations.
- Monitor workflows and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and patient experience.
- Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, front desk teams, and leadership to minimize operational delays and support coordinated care delivery.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned clinical support responsibilities, including patient rooming, in-basket support, clinical preparation, and other operational tasks.
- Provide direct clinical support as needed to maintain efficient clinic operations and patient flow.
- Ensure staff adherence to organizational policies, clinical workflows, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives and operational best practices.
- Monitor clinical areas to ensure safe, clean, organized, and patient-ready environments.
- Assist leadership in addressing operational concerns, workflow challenges, and patient service issues in a timely manner.
- Promote high standards of customer service and patient-centered care.
- Coordinate onboarding and competency-based training for new hires.
- Support ongoing staff education, cross-training, and workflow standardization initiatives.
- Identify development opportunities and reinforce best practices through mentorship and coaching.
- Ensure staff receive appropriate training on clinical procedures, workflows, and organizational expectations.
- Work closely with the Director of Specialty Operations, providers, practice leadership, nursing leadership, and administrative teams to support daily operations and patient care coordination.
- Communicate organizational updates, workflow changes, and operational initiatives to clinical staff.
- Serve as a liaison between frontline staff and leadership to escalate concerns, provide feedback, and support operational alignment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, operational initiatives, and process improvement activities as assigned.
- Support oversight of clinical supplies, medications, vaccines, and equipment to ensure appropriate inventory levels and clinic readiness.
- Monitor expiration dates and storage standards in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate routine inventory checks and supply management activities.
- Maintain professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Support organizational initiatives and adapt to evolving operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Specialty Operations or organizational leadership.
- Active RN or LPN license required.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in triage nursing or care coordination strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (Athena experience preferred).
- Proven ability to develop and implement workflows and operational protocols.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

- Deep understanding of triage, care coordination, and population health strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
- Full range of motion including occasional bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling.
- Potential exposure to clinical environments, including bodily fluids and loud or unpleasant stimuli.
- Full-time, in-clinic position with rotating weekend coverage requirements.
- Professional office and clinical setting with regular interaction across departments.
- Occasional exposure to emotionally charged or upset patients requiring de-escalation and professionalism
Compensation: $44 - $52/hr; commensurate with experience
