Orthofeet is stepping into its first-ever summer internship season — and we want to make it unforgettable, not just for our interns, but for every employee in the building. That's where you come in.

The Culture & Engagement Intern will be the creative engine behind our people initiatives this summer. You'll own our internal social media presence, design and run employee engagement events, publish our HR newsletter, and help keep the energy high across the entire company. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who loves people, storytelling, and bringing ideas to life.

If you're passionate about workplace culture, creative content, and making people feel celebrated — this role was made for you.

About the role

Internship Program Support

  • Help onboard incoming interns — coordinate welcome kits, orientation materials, and first-day experiences
  • Assist HR in scheduling and facilitating the bi-weekly lunch-and-learn speaker series
  • Track intern program milestones and help the HR team compile a summer recap report
  • Act as a peer ambassador for interns — a friendly, go-to resource for questions and community-building

Creative & Brand

  • Design branded digital and print assets using tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or Figma
  • Ensure all employee-facing content reflects Orthofeet's voice, values, and visual identity
  • Brainstorm and pitch new ideas to HR leadership for culture programs and recognition initiatives

What you'll do

Social Media & Internal Communications

  • Manage Orthofeet's internal social channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, and internal channels) throughout the summer
  • Create engaging content — posts, short videos, graphics, reels — spotlighting team culture, intern highlights, and company milestones
  • Draft and publish the weekly/bi-weekly HR newsletter covering program updates, employee spotlights, events, and company news
  • Photograph and document events, team moments, and intern experiences for storytelling purposes
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to keep communications consistent and on-brand

Employee Engagement & Events

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute employee engagement events throughout the summer — think team lunches, themed days, wellness activities, trivia, spirit weeks, and more
  • Lead logistics for the mid-program intern mixer with senior leadership
  • Organize the end-of-summer intern celebration and final presentation event
  • Survey employees and interns to gather ideas and feedback on morale initiatives
  • Partner with department heads to promote cross-team connection and participation

What success looks like

By the end of the summer, our Culture & Engagement Intern will have:

  • Published 8–10 HR newsletters
  • Planned & executed 4+ morale events
  • Grown our internal social following & engagement
  • Supported onboarding of all summer interns
  • Delivered a summer wrap-up culture recap
  • Left Orthofeet more connected than they found it

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can write a compelling email and a fun Instagram caption equally well
  • Creativity and an eye for design — experience with Canva, Adobe tools, or similar is a plus
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • A natural people person — warm, approachable, and enthusiastic about building community
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking initiative

  • Bilingual (spanish)
  • Prior experience in social media management, event planning, or HR/People roles
  • Familiarity with e-commerce or consumer brand environments
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.) or internal comms tools (Slack, Teams)
  • Photography or video editing skills (iPhone-level is totally fine!)
  • A portfolio of creative work — social posts, newsletters, event flyers, etc.
