Job Description
Maxxima is seeking an organized, detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department and help create an exceptional employee experience. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this role provides hands-on experience across recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, HR technology, employee engagement, and compliance.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Hauppauge, NY, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Limited travel to our Lake Park, FL location may be required on an as needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support recruiting activities, including job postings, resume screening, phone screens, interview scheduling, and ATS maintenance
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment documentation
- Maintain knowledge of laws related to company policies and procedures
- Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee inquiries
- Support performance reviews, employee training, and compliance initiatives
- Maintain employee records and status changes in the HCM system
- Generate HRMS reports, analytics, workflows, and dashboards as needed
- Research HR tech, trends, and best practices to enhance efficiency
- Coordinate company events, employee programs, and HR projects
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR department
- Perform additional HR duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate's degree required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of HR or administrative support experience
- Basic understanding of labor laws and HR best practices
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, and/or benefits administration
- Experience with HRIS, HRMS, or HCM platforms preferred; Paylocity experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and data
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships and communicate effectively with employees at all levels
- Maintain a results driven approach to resolving HR matters
- Demonstrated integrity with the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
