- Lead short- and medium-term cash forecasting processes to support financial planning and operational decision-making.
- Oversee multi-currency financial consolidation across international operating entities located in multiple regions.
- Prepare and analyze profitability reports, variance analyses, management accounts, and key financial performance metrics.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with grant and contract requirements, billing accuracy, and margin reporting.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Coordinate and facilitate annual audit activities with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliations and supplier account reviews.
- Work with external payroll providers to process and review payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, statutory filings, and sales tax obligations across all entities.
- Investigate financial inconsistencies and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy.
- Provide guidance and line management support to junior finance team members.
- CPA qualification or equivalent professional accounting certification such as ACCA.
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk analysis.
- Experience managing international or multi-entity financial operations is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or similar financial analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and leadership levels.
- Experience supporting audits, grant reporting, project accounting, or bookkeeping platforms such as Xero is considered an asset.
- Must be based in Ontario, Canada and authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to successfully complete any required background or security clearance procedures.
- Competitive salary ranging from CAD $110,000 to $130,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
