As an Export Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and facilitating the export process of our products. You will be responsible for ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with international trade regulations. Your expertise will help streamline export operations, coordinate with logistics partners, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure timely delivery to international clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with freight forwarders, U.S. Customs brokers and government agencies to facilitate clearance procedures and resolve any problems that may arise
  • Effectively coordinate the process with suppliers, foreign staff members and government agencies on the movement of product imported into the U.S. as well as exported from the U.S
  • Prepare all required import and export documentation as required. Coordinate and transmit shipping information to foreign offices and internal teams
  • Provide customer service resolution of domestic concerns related to international shipments
  • Handle import process for Cod Liver containers working directly with Customs Brokers to be sure fees are paid and delays aren’t happening
  • Analyze new items for proper import and export classification. Assign the appropriate Harmonized Tariff Code classifications to a wide variety of products in Dietary Supplements
  • Submit filing of the Electronic Export Information (EEI) electronically to the Federal Government through the Automated Export System (AES)
  • Respond to internal and external helpdesk inquiries from concerning international shipments and/or issue resolution
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries concerning shipments and/or issue resolution
  • Collect appropriate documentation for historical record keeping
  • Perform initial review of export documents submitted by customers
  • Respond to inquiries from customs or foreign governments concerning a specific export
  • Manage all international licenses for the importation and exportation of products. Maintain all USMCA certificates and requirements
  • Provide support to special projects, as needed
  • Work with order department if shipments need to be adjusted or due dates need to be extended
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or International Trade
  • Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics
  • Ability to be a self-starter and be self-motivated
  • Familiarity with import and export regulations/requirements in the following countries or regions: China, SE Asia, North America, South America, Latin America, Europe
  • Familiarity with U.S. Customs policies and procedures
  • Understanding of air, ocean and ground based logistics
  • Experience working with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) a plus
  • Working knowledge of VAT requirements in various global regions
  • Ability to author, maintain and coordinate process and procedural documentation
  • Ability to negotiate ground, ocean and air freight contracts
  • Ability to coordinate global warehousing processes and procedures with local operating units
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, detail oriented with a strong bias for action
  • Ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with co-workers. This is a team role
  • Proven attention to detail, with excellent analytical, problem solving and personal organization skills
  • Proven experience using MS Office Suite, Excel, ERP
