Job Description
DRT is seeking a Materials/Tool Crib Coordinator with experience in inventory management, logistics, tooling coordination, warehouse operations, material handling, or manufacturing support to join our growing team in Kettering, Ohio.
This role is critical to ensuring CNC machinists have the tools, materials, and supplies needed to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements. What You'll Do
Issue tooling, equipment, and supplies to machinists and production personnel
Prepare and stage tooling kits for CNC machining centers and VMCs
Maintain accurate inventory records for tooling, consumables, and production materials
Receive, inspect, label, stock, and organize incoming tooling and supplies
Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
Monitor tooling condition and coordinate repairs, regrinds, or replacements
Order replacement tooling, inserts, and manufacturing consumables
Support production schedules by ensuring tooling and materials are available when needed
Track and maintain company tooling assets and inventory locations
Assist with shipping, receiving, material movement, and warehouse organization as needed
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized tool crib and inventory area
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, tool room, logistics, warehouse, inventory control, supply chain, or materials management environment
Experience managing inventory, materials, tooling, production supplies, or industrial assets
Experience using ERP, MRP, WMS, or inventory management software
Basic computer skills and experience maintaining inventory records
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and follow work instructions, inventory documentation, and procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety
Preferred Qualifications
Direct tool crib experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, holders, gauges, tooling components, and machining consumables
Experience supporting CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing, or precision manufacturing operations
Experience preparing tooling kits, production kits, or materials for manufacturing operations
Previous experience as a Tool Crib Attendant, Tool Room Technician, Inventory Specialist, Warehouse Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Materials Coordinator, Production Support Specialist, or Machinist
Forklift certification or material handling experience
