Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Private Market Services Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible for the general accounting and financial reporting for our investor funds. Core responsibilities include processing, posting and documenting all general ledger accounting activity as part of monthly investor capital valuations and assisting with investor communications, including statements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

General Ledger Accounting

  • Records recurring entries in general ledger software and reconciles to amortization schedule
  • Compiles monthly financial packets and ensures all ledger activity is documented
  • Process investor transfers

Annual Tax Reporting

  • Prepares tax estimate calculation

Quarterly Tax Reporting

  • Prepares Mayfair estimated taxable income statements
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations

Annual Audit Preparation

  • Prepares audit files and submits to auditors
  • Provides additional support documents as requested from auditors

Investor Distributions/Capital Calls

  • Schedules bi-monthly investor capital calls, as well as any “as needed” calls in the off-cycle
  • Assesses cash to determine investor weekly distributions to be scheduled

Deliverables and Reports

  • Compiles and reviews client deliverables
  • Creates new reports as needed

Performs Other Duties As Assigned

  • Projects and other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required
  • 5+ years’ experience in GL Accounting strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Accounting software, Allvue experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
  • Professional demeanor with the utmost respect for confidential matters
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have strong work ethic with a positive attitude
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing environment with multiple requests and tasks

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Limited travel as business needs requires
  • Long periods of sitting utilizing a computer required
  • Working onsite in the office full-time
