As we grow, we’re looking for a reliable and proactive Transportation Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and helps ensure our products move seamlessly from plant to customer.
Role Overview
The Transportation Specialist plays a critical role in delivering product safely and on time while maintaining full compliance with DOT regulations and company procedures. This role bridges transportation, inventory control, and shipping/receiving support to keep our supply chain running smoothly. From operating company vehicles to managing documentation and fleet maintenance, this is a hands-on role with high impact across departments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Transportation & Fleet ManagementOperate commercial vehicles safely and maintain a valid Class A CDL license
Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, routes, and delivery times
Verify load accuracy before departure and pick-up orders before loading
Log fuel, mileage, and delivery data accurately
Maintain up-to-date documents and registrations for trucks and trailers
Report and file all expense receipts
Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure timely service
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers
Proactively resolve transportation-related delays or issues
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory counts
Record data, generate reports, and file inventory documentation
Assist with loading and unloading shipments
Label finished goods and raw materials accurately
Store materials in proper locations following established procedures
Support documentation and compliance in coordination with supply chain departments
Understand customer requirements and ensure shipments align with expectations
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times
Reliable & Self-Directed – You’re dependable in the field and can manage your time with minimal supervision
Safety-Minded & Detail-Oriented – You take pride in following the rules, checking your work, and protecting our brand reputation
Customer-Focused – You understand the impact of on-time, accurate delivery and represent the company professionally

Valid Class A CDL license
Clean driving record
Strong map reading and GPS navigation skills
Proven time management and organizational abilities
Excellent communication and judgment skills
Ability to lift/move materials in a warehouse or loading dock setting (up to 100lbs)
