Technical Lead - React

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Lead - React based in Canada.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of engineering excellence and client-facing delivery, where you will guide distributed teams in building scalable, secure, and high-performance digital products. You will act as both a technical authority and a people leader, shaping architectural decisions while ensuring delivery aligns with business goals. The role involves close collaboration with enterprise clients, translating complex requirements into clear technical direction. You will work across modern web stacks, with a strong emphasis on React-based applications. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on solving meaningful real-world problems. You will also play a key role in mentoring engineers and elevating engineering standards across teams. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a consulting-style, delivery-driven engineering environment.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead technical delivery across projects while ensuring engineering quality, team performance, and client alignment remain consistently high.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, including guiding delivery and supporting professional growth
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations
  • Collaborate directly with clients to translate business needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions
  • Define and drive architectural decisions with a strong focus on performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Identify and remove technical and delivery blockers proactively to ensure smooth execution
  • Promote engineering best practices across agile delivery, DevOps, testing, and code quality standards
  • Communicate progress, risks, and delivery updates clearly to stakeholders and leadership teams
Requirements:

This role requires strong technical depth in modern software engineering, combined with proven leadership and client-facing experience in delivery environments.

  • Significant experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead, ideally with strong hands-on expertise in React
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring, guiding delivery, or direct line management
  • Strong experience working directly with clients or stakeholders to define and refine technical requirements
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies, software design patterns, and engineering best practices
  • Strong expertise in testing strategies, including test-driven development and automated testing approaches
  • Solid knowledge of Git and version control workflows in collaborative environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Understanding of operational concerns including monitoring, performance, security, accessibility, and GDPR considerations
  • Strong communication, empathy, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align teams
Benefits:
  • Annual company bonus based on overall performance and contribution to company success
  • Fully remote and flexible working model supporting work-life balance
  • Generous paid time off, including annual leave, public holidays, sick leave, and additional leave types
  • Remote working allowance every two years to support home office setup
  • Training and development budget to support continuous learning and career growth
  • Private healthcare coverage for improved health and wellbeing
  • RRSP contribution matching (up to 4%) plus life and critical illness insurance for financial security.
