Job Description

What You'll Do
As a CDL Class A Driver, you will play a key role in supporting our operations by safely transporting materials throughout Southern California.
Responsibilities include:
- --Safely transport scrap metal and recyclable materials between company facilities, suppliers, and customer locations.
- --Complete local pick-ups and deliveries while maintaining on-time performance.
- --Properly secure all loads before transport, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- --Verify shipping paperwork and ensure documentation accurately matches each load.
- --Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
- --Maintain accurate daily driver logs and trip documentation, submitting required paperwork at the end of each shift.
- --Operate roll-off equipment and handle roll-off bins safely and efficiently.
- --Follow all federal DOT regulations, California traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- --Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Qualifications
- --Valid CDL Class A Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- --Previous experience operating tractor-trailers/semi-trucks.
- --Experience operating roll-off trucks and handling roll-off containers is required.
- --Knowledge of proper load securement procedures for heavy, oversized, or irregular loads.
- --Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- --Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- --Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- --Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with dispatch and operations personnel.
