Job Description

Description:

Mira Vista Country Club’s vision is to be Fort Worth’s most sought-after family-friendly country club, where every interaction enriches the lives of members, guests, and staff. Join us during an exciting period of growth and transformation as we redefine the private club experience in Fort Worth. As a dynamic and fast-paced organization, Mira Vista employs approximately 150 team members year-round and grows to more than 250 employees during our peak season, creating opportunities to collaborate across a large and diverse team dedicated to delivering exceptional member experiences.

ABOUT US

Tucked behind the gates of southwest Fort Worth's most scenic 700-acre community, Mira Vista Country Club has spent more than three decades bringing families and friends together over championship golf, tennis, pickleball, resort-style swimming, and unforgettable social events. Our newly redesigned course, warm Member relationships, and “family-first” culture have made us a true hidden gem — and now we're looking for the right person to help us build something just as special behind the scenes: our people culture.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

The Human Resources function is still relatively new to our organization, and this role will play a key part in continuing to build it out. You'll have the chance to shape processes, programs, and systems that are still taking form, with the full support of leadership behind you and meaningful runway to grow the function (and eventually a team) as the Club's needs evolve.

As our Manager, Human Resources, you will lead Recruiting, Employee Relations, Benefits, Performance Management, Training, reporting and safety/compliance.

This role requires an organized and detailed individual who can implement innovative approaches to sourcing, selection, and total rewards while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, possess exceptional collaboration skills, and be eager to roll up their sleeves, work hard, have fun, and drive impactful results. Ultimately, striving to achieve the MVCC vision and mission each day and uphold the organizations core values.

• A department still taking shape. HR is newer to Mira Vista, so you'll have real influence over how programs and processes get built out and refined — not just maintaining what already exists.

• Room to grow. The HR department doesn't yet have direct reports, giving you the opportunity to design processes, prove out programs, and make the case for building out your own team over time.

• A service-and-training mindset. We're looking for someone motivated to jump in and cultivate a culture of hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement — starting with our own team members.

• Access to outside expertise when it counts. While this is a hands-on, onsite role day to day, you'll have the ability to outsource specific projects to outside HR firms or legal counsel when additional expert resources are needed to reach your goals.

• A hands-on, onsite role. You'll be a visible, present partner to employees and management alike — walking the halls, not hiding behind a screen.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Human Resources Manager supports the full employee lifecycle at Mira Vista — recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, safety, benefits, and compliance. You'll partner closely with the Controller and General Manager, and work hand-in-hand with our HR Assistant, to make Mira Vista a place where employees are proud to build a career and Members feel the difference in every interaction.

Our Club employs approximately 150 regular, year-round team members, growing to roughly 250 during our busy summer season — giving you a meaningful employee population to support and plenty of opportunity to make an impact, including through high-volume seasonal hiring.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own recruitment and onboarding — job postings, screenings, interviews, offers, and new hire orientation — including support for high-volume seasonal hiring.

• Be the trusted point of contact for employee questions and concerns, fostering open communication and a positive, service-driven work environment.

• Build and manage an employee engagement program, including regular communications, events, and a thoughtful feedback loop (including offboarding interviews).

• Support performance management — goal setting, feedback, and evaluations — and coach managers on employee development.

• Design and implement an annual service training program that reinforces our mission of creating memorable Member and guest experiences, plus leadership and management training initiatives.

• Serve as Safety Coordinator: manage Workers' Comp claims, lead monthly safety talks, partner with the Safety Committee on workplace inspections, and complete the annual OSHA 300 report.

• Lead compensation and benefits administration, including annual open enrollment, census coordination, and employee wellness programming.

• Maintain HR records and reporting, using data to spot trends and drive continuous improvement across the Club.

• Ensure compliance with labor law, ACA requirements, and company policy — partnering with our outside HR and legal resources as needed.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in HR management or similar role.

Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and regulations.

Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
