Senior Manager, Content Marketing Nonprofits

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Content Marketing Nonprofits based in United States.

This is a senior content leadership opportunity focused on building a distinctive voice for a nonprofit audience.
You will shape the editorial strategy, content calendar, and thought leadership agenda across a global go-to-market organization.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on writing and editing for high-visibility content.
You will lead and mentor a team of writers while establishing processes that support speed, consistency, and quality.
Using audience insights and performance data, you will continuously refine content to increase engagement, reach, and pipeline impact.
You will also collaborate closely with events, communications, product, and marketing teams to connect content with broader business priorities.
This role is ideal for an experienced B2B content leader who brings strong editorial judgment, curiosity, and a clear point of view.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and evolve the nonprofit content strategy across the global go-to-market organization, partnering closely with events, communications, and marketing teams.
  • Develop and maintain a distinctive editorial point of view, defining priority topics, content standards, audience needs, and areas where the organization should or should not participate in broader conversations.
  • Monitor cultural, industry, and nonprofit-sector trends to identify timely opportunities for relevant and authoritative content.
  • Align editorial priorities with product launches, campaign objectives, thought leadership initiatives, and broader marketing goals.
  • Own the content calendar from planning through publication, balancing brand-building thought leadership with content that contributes meaningfully to pipeline and business outcomes.
  • Write and edit high-visibility content, including flagship pieces, cornerstone articles, and other materials requiring a strong and authoritative editorial voice.
  • Establish and maintain high editorial standards by reviewing, developing, and elevating the work of other writers.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of content professionals while providing clear creative direction and actionable feedback.
  • Build scalable content processes, including briefing templates, editorial workflows, review cycles, contributor relationships, and production practices that enable the team to move efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Track content performance across organic traffic, engagement, audience growth, and pipeline influence, using insights to refine strategy and editorial decisions.
  • Distinguish between performance challenges caused by content quality and those driven by distribution, then develop appropriate improvements.
  • Develop a clear perspective on channel strategy, content distribution, repurposing opportunities, and areas where additional audience reach can be generated.
  • Use AI tools strategically to accelerate content production and distribution while maintaining human ownership of editorial thinking, brand voice, quality, and judgment.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B content marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior editorial or people leadership position.
  • Proven experience building, leading, or significantly scaling a content function or team.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating thought leadership, long-form content, and distinctive editorial work.
  • Exceptional editorial judgment with the ability to provide direct, specific, and actionable feedback to writers and contributors.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy within a B2B SaaS environment, including SEO fundamentals, content distribution, audience development, and pipeline-connected content.
  • Demonstrated ability to use performance data and audience insights to influence editorial strategy and improve content outcomes.
  • Strong awareness of nonprofit-sector trends, cultural conversations, and audience interests, with the ability to identify relevant opportunities for timely content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to establish a clear and credible point of view.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with experience balancing multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and mentoring content teams and building effective editorial processes and infrastructure.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift and ambiguity is part of the role.
  • A data-informed mindset and the ability to connect content performance with broader marketing and business objectives.
  • Experience using AI tools to support content production and distribution while maintaining strong human editorial oversight.
Benefits
  • Annual U.S. salary range of $151,000–$226,000, with geolocation-based pay differentials where applicable.
  • Equity opportunities and additional compensation may be available depending on role and location.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Life insurance and a 401(k) savings program.
  • Flexible time-off policies designed to support work-life balance.
  • Generous parental leave and family-focused financial support.
  • Mental health and wellness resources.
  • Financial assistance for eligible hybrid-work needs.
  • Learning, development, and employee recognition programs.
  • Opportunities to participate in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and employee resource groups.
  • Volunteering opportunities that support community engagement and social impact.
  • A collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on helping people support one another and creating meaningful social impact.
