We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide agile software development teams building innovative healthcare technology solutions.
This role combines technical leadership, product delivery ownership, and team development within a fast-moving enterprise software environment.

Accountabilities:

The Manager, Engineering will lead software development initiatives, provide technical direction, and ensure the successful delivery of enterprise applications while fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

  • Lead agile software development teams through planning, execution, delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage software development projects by overseeing scope, schedules, quality, milestones, and delivery outcomes throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Own product delivery by coordinating roadmap planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and execution priorities.
  • Identify project risks, define mitigation strategies, monitor performance metrics, and communicate progress with stakeholders and customers.
  • Build strong partnerships with product management, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in architecture, design, development, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of enterprise software applications.
  • Champion engineering best practices focused on software quality, security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Drive innovation through automation, AI-assisted development practices, and continuous process improvements.
  • Evaluate technology solutions and architectural trade-offs to support long-term product evolution.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop software engineers through feedback, career guidance, and performance management.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing engineering talent while fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Promote a customer-focused engineering culture centered on innovation, learning, and delivering business value.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have strong experience leading software engineering teams and developing large-scale enterprise applications, with a background in modern cloud technologies and healthcare or similarly complex industries.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and leading software engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, distributed, highly available, data-driven enterprise applications.
  • 3+ years of experience working with modern data technologies.
  • Strong experience with Java and enterprise technologies, including Spring, Apache Tomcat, Oracle Database, WebLogic, and Apache Karaf.
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, containerization, virtualization, and infrastructure automation.
  • Strong project management, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying root causes and delivering effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams, remove obstacles, and drive successful outcomes in complex environments.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
  • Ability to work effectively in remote and distributed team environments across multiple time zones.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual base salary range of $187,000 to $202,000, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and education.
