Strategic Account Manager

You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and opportunity development through contract negotiation and closing.
Working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment, you will partner with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions to complex customer challenges.
The position requires a strong understanding of enterprise SaaS sales, strategic selling methodologies, and relationship management.
You will have ownership of territory strategies, account planning, and revenue generation initiatives.

Accountabilities:

The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, developing strong customer relationships, and managing opportunities across enterprise accounts. The role requires ownership of the sales process, strong business acumen, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve commercial objectives.

  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective enterprise clients within assigned markets and industries.
  • Identify new business opportunities and create demand through targeted sales strategies and account development.
  • Build and execute territory strategies and strategic account plans to achieve annual revenue objectives.
  • Manage RFI, RFP, and proposal processes while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and opportunity tracking through CRM systems.
  • Develop and leverage professional networks to generate new business opportunities.
  • Gather market intelligence and share insights with internal teams to support business growth.
  • Attend industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to strengthen market presence.
  • Identify and develop partnerships that support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer success, product, legal, and finance teams to support a strong sales culture.
  • Present solutions effectively to executive-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise sales professional with a strong track record of selling SaaS, software, or consulting solutions. They should demonstrate strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage complex sales cycles while working collaboratively with internal teams.

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise solution sales with demonstrated success closing SaaS, software, or consulting service agreements.
  • Experience selling technology solutions to complex organizations is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of strategic selling techniques, account management, and pipeline development.
  • Proven ability to manage sales forecasts, CRM processes, and revenue planning activities.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency with business tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM platforms, and virtual meeting tools.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience within environmental, health, safety, quality, or related industries is considered an asset.
