Working closely with business, technology, and security stakeholders, you will help build a culture of preparedness and operational excellence.
This is an opportunity to influence resilience programs at scale while supporting a flexible, remote-first environment.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex risks into actionable solutions.

Accountabilities:

The Business Continuity Manager leads the design, execution, and continuous improvement of business continuity and resilience programs. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify risks, strengthen preparedness, and ensure operational continuity during potential disruptions.

  • Drive adoption and execution of business continuity programs by facilitating business impact analyses (BIAs), risk assessments, and continuity planning activities.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of business continuity plans (BCPs) and IT disaster recovery strategies.
  • Design, coordinate, and facilitate tabletop exercises and continuity testing to validate preparedness, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure continuity plans align with crisis management processes, cybersecurity response procedures, IT disaster recovery capabilities, and incident management frameworks.
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure disaster recovery planning supports critical systems, applications, and business data.
  • Assess third-party service providers and SaaS vendors to confirm they meet resilience and recovery expectations.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence aligned with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements such as SOX, GDPR, DORA, NIST, and ISO standards.
  • Monitor global threats, risks, and emerging events while communicating potential impacts to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage emergency notification processes and support incident escalation activities, including on-call crisis response when required.
  • Prepare program reports, metrics, risk summaries, and improvement recommendations for leadership decision-making.
  • Promote business continuity awareness through training, communications, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in enterprise resilience, crisis management, and continuity planning, with the ability to work independently while influencing teams across the organization. A combination of technical understanding, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills is essential.

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience managing business continuity, business resilience, crisis management, emergency management, or incident management programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing business continuity plans, business impact analyses, risk assessments, and resilience initiatives.
  • Understanding of security, infrastructure, and compliance standards related to operational resilience.
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements such as DORA, NIST, ISO 27001/27000, ISO 22301, SOX, or similar standards is preferred.
  • Familiarity with business continuity and disaster recovery planning tools, emergency notification systems, and reporting processes.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a practical approach to balancing compliance and business needs.
  • Preferred certifications include ABCP, CBCP, MBCP, CBCPI, CISSP, or BCI.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range of $104,000 - $169,000 USD, depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Fully remote work opportunity within the United States.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Disability and life insurance coverage.
