MILLWRIGHT (JOUNEYMEN TO ANY EXPERIENCE)
Spirit is hiring skilled Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join us for upcoming shutdowns at pulp mills. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Spirit is hiring skilled Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join us for upcoming shutdowns at pulp mills. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with our preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, and generators
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up, and repair
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and * maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as programmable logic controls
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
- Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent
- Valid Red Seal Certification an asset, any experience wanted
- Proven experience in industrial machinery installation, maintenance, and repair
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
