Job Description
Millwright About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Millwright to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
- Install, align, level, and commission machinery and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and identify potential equipment failures before they occur.
- Repair and replace bearings, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, and other mechanical components.
- Perform equipment alignment using precision measurement tools.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Participate in emergency and breakdown maintenance as required.
- Journeyperson Millwright certification (Red Seal preferred).
- Previous experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Valid driver's license [if required].
