The Canalta Group of Companies is a privately held Canadian owned company focusing on the manufacturing and service of industrial control and measurement equipment, specifically targeting the gas industry and supplying product internationally. We are currently looking for a Journeyman Millwright or Industrial Mechanic at our main office location in Red Deer, AB.

What will you do?

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment including CNC machinery, overhead cranes, compressors, HVAC systems, boilers, hydraulic systems, and mobile equipment
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete maintenance and installation work
• Complete maintenance work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company safety standards
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and facility maintenance
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain maintenance inventory, spare parts, and accurate maintenance records using Business Central (BC)
• Support apprentice training and collaborate with team members to improve maintenance operations
• Assist with general facility upkeep and travel as required to support operational needs

What do you need?

• Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic / Millwright
• Backflow device prevention certification
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Class 5 driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite
