Overview
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Recruiter manages evergreen hiring while building and sustaining community partnerships to connect individuals with barriers to employment to meaningful work opportunities.
This position plays a key role in advancing equitable hiring practices and ensuring a supportive, compliant, and efficient employee experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
· Manage continuous recruitment for frontline roles
· Review applications weekly and maintain an active candidate pipeline
· Conduct phone screens and coordinate interviews
· Partner with hiring managers to align staffing needs with hiring cadence
· Facilitate regular orientation sessions and onboarding cohorts
· Track recruiting metrics (time-to-hire, source effectiveness, retention indicators
· Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations serving individuals with barriers to employment, including reentry programs (formerly incarcerated individuals), addiction recovery programs & homelessness and housing support services.
· Attend hiring events, info sessions, and referral pipeline opportunities
· Serve as a liaison between community partners and internal hiring teams
· Promote equitable and inclusive hiring practices
Candidate and Employee Support
· Support candidates through the hiring process with clear, compassionate communication
· Assist employees with onboarding, workplace expectations, and transitions
· Manage employee transit benefits, including ORCA card distribution, tracking, and replacement
· Maintain accurate records of ORCA usage and eligibility
· Coordinate replacements and troubleshooting employee issues related to transit benefits
HR Administration & Compliance
· Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential personnel files in both paper and electronic formats.
· Perform HR administrative functions such as filing, document management, and data entry in the HRIS.
· Administer and ensure compliance with EEO and other employment-related laws and regulations.
· Support annual HR audits and compliance reviews.
Training & Employee Development
· Coordinate and schedule employee training sessions, including logistics, materials, and attendance tracking.
· Maintain training records and ensure compliance with required certifications and continuing education.
Assist with developing employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Requirements:Qualifications
· 1-3 Years of experience in Full-Cycle Recruitment
· Experience with HRIS systems-Paylocity a plus
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Strong ability to solve problems and provide employee support
· Experience in a non-profit setting
· Experience facilitating orientations or large group training
· Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment
· Ability to work with and recruit individuals who may or may not have a past criminal background or addiction challenges
