This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Resident Solution Architect (Databricks) based in the United States.
As a Resident Solution Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data platform solutions built on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. This hands-on role combines technical leadership with strategic consulting, helping organizations modernize their data ecosystems and maximize the value of cloud-native analytics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide implementation best practices, and provide architectural expertise across large-scale data engineering initiatives. Working in a dynamic consulting environment, you will influence technical direction, optimize platform performance, and deliver scalable solutions for complex business challenges across regulated industries.
- Lead the architecture, design, and successful delivery of enterprise Databricks Lakehouse implementations from planning through deployment.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to engineering teams throughout complex data platform projects.
- Design scalable, high-performance data architectures using Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and cloud-native technologies.
- Optimize distributed data processing environments by improving platform performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable production deployments and continuous delivery practices.
- Partner with data science teams to implement MLOps workflows and operationalize machine learning solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical architectural strategies.
- Advise clients on platform best practices, governance, and modernization initiatives to ensure long-term success.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- 10+ years of consulting experience, including at least 7 years focused on data engineering, analytics, or enterprise data platforms.
- Proven experience delivering multiple enterprise-scale Databricks implementation projects.
- Deep expertise with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including Delta Lake architecture and platform best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Apache Spark, distributed computing, and large-scale performance optimization.
- Databricks Data Engineering Professional Certification.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies and production deployment pipelines.
- Working knowledge of MLOps concepts, tools, and deployment practices.
- Excellent consulting, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience across multiple cloud platforms is considered an asset.
- Competitive W2 contract compensation of up to $80 per hour.
