Senior Solution Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solution Engineer based in United States.

This remote role offers the opportunity to serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers design and implement advanced connectivity solutions.
You will bridge business objectives and technical capabilities by translating complex requirements into scalable, high-value solutions.
Working closely with sales, engineering, and product teams, you will influence strategic customer engagements from discovery through delivery.
The role focuses on designing resilient network architectures, solving complex technology challenges, and driving customer success.
As a senior technical contributor, you will mentor peers, share expertise, and help shape best practices across the organization.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Solution Engineer will lead technical solution development, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to support complex sales opportunities and deliver impactful technology solutions. The role requires strong expertise in networking, architecture design, and customer advisory while ensuring solutions align with business goals, operational requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Act as a trusted technology advisor throughout the sales cycle, supporting customer discovery, technical discussions, solution validation, and opportunity closure.
  • Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders, decision-makers, and internal teams to address challenges and overcome technical objections.
  • Analyze customer requirements and design tailored solutions that optimize performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost.
  • Develop technical proposals, solution documentation, diagrams, and presentations that clearly communicate business value and technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Lead complex solution design initiatives involving multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on competitive technologies, market trends, and emerging innovations to strengthen solution positioning.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across networking technologies, architecture patterns, and specialized solutions.
  • Educate customers and internal teams on technology trends, industry developments, and best practices.
  • Support knowledge sharing, mentorship, and technical development across the solutions engineering organization.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background combined with customer-facing experience, communication skills, and the ability to design sophisticated technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or related roles within the telecommunications industry.
  • Experience designing and presenting complex technical solutions for enterprise customers.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking technologies, including optical networking, routing, switching, software-defined networks, and network security.
  • Understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and high-availability architecture concepts.
  • Experience with application and data architectures, including public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Ability to create technical designs, diagrams, and documentation for both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and customer communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently while collaborating effectively across diverse teams.
  • Experience handling ambiguity, adapting to change, and operating successfully in dynamic environments.
  • Industry certifications in relevant technologies are preferred.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training programs is a plus.
  • Proficiency with common productivity tools and collaboration platforms.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range of approximately $135,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, location, and qualifications.
