Temporary, hourly (4-6 months, starting mid-June) at 40 hours per week, non-exempt, hybrid (on-site first few weeks for training)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented temporary Finance Coordinator to join our team. The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. This includes managing accounts payable and receivable, generating financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaborate with a diverse team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Process and record financial transactions including payments, invoices, and expense reports accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Track and maintain records of vendor contracts, leases, and agreements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, including tracking financial performance against budgets.
  • Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Stay up-to-date with financial regulations, best practices, and industry trends to ensure compliance and continuously improve financial operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to support financial decision-making and achieve organizational goals.

Required Competencies
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to pay close attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with an ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Professional certification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is a plus.
  • Proficient in using financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks (desktop preferred), Microsoft Excel, or other accounting software.
