Role Purpose
The Ecommerce & Marketing Executive is responsible for the hands-on coordination and execution of Baby Village's ecommerce and marketing activity across digital, retail and customer channels.
Working across Marketing and Ecommerce & Digital Performance, the role brings campaigns, promotions, trading priorities and digital initiatives to life, ensuring activity is delivered accurately, efficiently and on time.
The role supports Baby Village's online customer experience, conversion and discoverability across traditional search and emerging AI discovery channels.
This is a hands-on role spanning Shopify, digital merchandising, CRM, campaign coordination, SEO/GEO, content implementation, ecommerce projects and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Ecommerce & Digital Merchandising
Support the day-to-day management and optimisation of the Baby Village Shopify website.
Build and maintain collections, landing pages, navigation, buying guides and onsite promotional content.
Translate marketing campaigns and trading priorities into an effective onsite customer experience.
Implement digital merchandising aligned with campaigns, stock availability, customer demand and commercial priorities.
Maintain collection logic, product tagging, metafields and ecommerce data.
Optimise onsite search, filters, product recommendations and category navigation.
Coordinate product information, promotional details, assets and deadlines across Merchandise, Marketing and suppliers.
Ensure new products and priority ranges are accurately represented online.
Complete QA checks for campaigns, promotions and website updates.
Identify website issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external partners.
Marketing Campaign Execution
Coordinate and execute activity within the Baby Village marketing calendar under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
Coordinate integrated campaigns across email, social, website, retail and in-store channels.
Develop and coordinate campaign and production briefs based on direction from the Marketing Manager.
Coordinate campaign assets, product information, promotional details and deadlines.
Coordinate in-store campaign materials and provide stores with clear implementation instructions.
Ensure pricing, promotional messaging, terms and customer journeys are accurate and consistent across channels.
Coordinate approved supplier marketing, partnerships, collaborations and influencer activity.
Coordinate influencer gifting, product sends, content deliverables and approvals.
Support events, launches, community initiatives and customer activations.
Schedule approved organic social content.
Provide suppliers with proof of execution and campaign reporting where required.
Prepare campaign reporting and identify observations and opportunities for the relevant Manager.
Maintain brand consistency across customer touchpoints.
CRM & Customer Communications
Build, schedule and QA Klaviyo email and SMS campaigns.
Support implementation and optimisation of automated customer journeys and flows.
Assist with customer segmentation and targeting.
Maintain accurate promotional and product messaging across CRM and website channels.
Support testing of subject lines, content, offers and customer journeys.
Assist with reporting and opportunities to improve engagement, conversion and repeat purchase.
AI Discoverability, GEO & SEO
Support implementation of Baby Village's SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) roadmap.
Build and maintain content that improves visibility across traditional search and AI discovery platforms.
Implement SEO/GEO improvements across category, brand, product, buying guide, FAQ and editorial content.
Structure and publish expert, answer-led content addressing high-intent customer questions.
Support comparison guides, buying guides, fitting advice, FAQs and other expert content.
Ensure content includes effective headings, internal links and relevant pathways to products and categories.
Maintain metadata, internal linking, redirects and other agreed SEO requirements.
Support monitoring of priority buying-intent queries, organic visibility and AI discoverability.
Assist with reporting on organic traffic, rankings and AI referral traffic.
Implement agreed recommendations from SEO/GEO specialists.
Product Data, Schema & AI Commerce Readiness
Maintain the completeness and accuracy of product data across Shopify and connected digital channels.
Maintain product attributes, specifications, descriptions, metafields and structured product information required for search, feeds and AI discovery.
Support implementation and QA of relevant structured data/schema with technical partners.
Identify missing or inconsistent product information and coordinate remediation.
Maintain and troubleshoot product feeds across Google Merchant Centre, Meta and other relevant channels.
Complete feed and product-data QA covering price, availability, imagery, identifiers and attributes.
Support implementation of new commerce feeds, integrations and discovery channels.
Conversion, Basket & Customer Journey
Support implementation of the CRO and onsite testing roadmap.
Assist with A/B testing across landing pages, product pages, merchandising, promotions, navigation and website functionality.
Implement approved initiatives to improve conversion, AOV and units per transaction.
Support cross-sell, complementary product, bundle and product recommendation initiatives.
Build campaign and category landing pages that move customers from discovery and education to purchase.
Ensure buying guides and educational content provide clear pathways to relevant products.
Assist with analysis of onsite behaviour to identify friction and merchandising opportunities.
QA customer journeys from campaign entry through product discovery, cart and checkout.
Ecommerce Projects & Digital Performance
Support ecommerce projects including new apps, features, loyalty initiatives, integrations, AI tools and website development.
Assist with project research, requirements, data preparation, testing and implementation.
Prepare and validate data required for ecommerce projects and system changes.
Complete UAT and QA before and after launch.
Monitor adoption of new tools and functionality and document processes.
Support agencies, developers and technology partners with data, assets and testing.
Support implementation tasks across paid media, SEO/GEO, CRO and digital acquisition.
Build landing pages and support campaign implementation for paid acquisition.
Assist with reporting across traffic, conversion, AOV, UPT, acquisition and onsite behaviour.
Support creative and landing-page testing for performance marketing.
Biannual Supplier-Funded Catalogue
Coordinate the end-to-end execution of Baby Village's twice-yearly supplier-funded catalogue under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
Maintain the production timeline, supplier deliverables, product information, creative requirements, approvals and deadlines.
Coordinate participating products, pricing, offers, stock requirements and supplier assets with Merchandise and suppliers.
Maintain supplier participation and funding trackers and support follow-up.
Coordinate creative resources, designers, photographers, printers and production partners.
Proof catalogue content, pricing, product information, promotional terms and creative before publication.
Maintain version control and coordinate approvals.
Support print production, distribution and store requirements.
Translate the catalogue into an integrated digital experience across Shopify, landing pages, buying guides, Klaviyo and social.
Ensure catalogue products and offers are accurately represented across customer touchpoints.
Provide suppliers with agreed proof of execution.
Coordinate post-campaign reporting covering sales, supplier participation, funding and performance.
Reporting & Administration
Prepare regular ecommerce and marketing reporting for the Marketing Manager and Ecommerce & Digital Performance Manager.
Maintain campaign calendars, trackers and project documentation.
Assist with reporting across ecommerce revenue, traffic, conversion, AOV, UPT, CRM, organic search and campaign performance.
Support reporting on AI referral traffic and visibility across agreed high-intent AI/search queries.
Coordinate purchase orders, invoices, samples and marketing administration where required.
Track deliverables and follow up stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, execution quality and efficiency.
Key Performance Indicators

Accurate and timely delivery of campaigns and promotions.
Website, campaign and promotional QA accuracy.
Ecommerce content and merchandising accuracy.
EDM/SMS execution accuracy and timeliness.

Quality and reliability of reporting.
Effective management of Marketing and Ecommerce priorities.
The role contributes to broader team outcomes including ecommerce revenue, conversion, AOV, UPT, organic traffic, AI discoverability, CRM and campaign performance, while accountability for commercial outcomes remains with the relevant Manager.
About You
You are a highly organised, commercially curious ecommerce and marketing professional who enjoys turning plans into action.
You are comfortable moving between Shopify merchandising, building an EDM, coordinating campaign assets, implementing a buying guide, testing a customer journey and ensuring promotions are correctly executed across every touchpoint.
You take ownership of execution, have excellent attention to detail and are proactive when something does not look right. You are also curious about emerging ecommerce, search and AI technologies and how changing customer discovery behaviour impacts retail.
Skills & Experience
Approximately 2-4 years' experience across ecommerce, marketing, digital marketing or a related role.
Hands-on experience with Shopify or a similar ecommerce platform.
Experience with digital merchandising, collection management and onsite campaigns.
Experience with Klaviyo or a similar CRM platform.
Working knowledge of SEO, customer journeys and conversion optimisation.
Understanding of structured product data, feeds and Google Merchant Centre advantageous.
Experience implementing SEO-focused content advantageous.
Interest in GEO, AI search and emerging ecommerce discovery channels.
Strong spreadsheet and basic analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail, QA and written communication skills.
Strong project coordination and time-management skills.
Experience supporting ecommerce projects, agencies or technology partners desirable.
