The Director of Business Development brings a highly strategic and relationship-driven approach to drive business growth, strengthen payer relationships, and position the organization competitively within the commercial insurance market. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying and executing opportunities that enhance Gosnold’s market position, expand patient access, and develop financially advantageous partnerships across the healthcare industry. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare finance, payer dynamics, and behavioral health market trends.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies to expand Gosnold’s presence within private and public insurance markets.
- Identify opportunities to improve payer mix between privately and publicly insured clients.
- Conduct ongoing market analysis including competitor positioning, payer reimbursement trends, and referral patterns.
- Identify emerging opportunities for program expansion, service differentiation, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with private and public insurance plans, managed care organizations, healthcare systems, physician groups, employers, and referral organizations.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen Gosnold’s positioning with payers and improve contract performance.
- Collaborate with leadership on payer strategy, including reimbursement optimization and service line alignment.
- Represent Gosnold in high-level industry and healthcare business forums.
- Develop and maintain a strategic pipeline of growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (clinical, marketing, admissions, finance) to align growth initiatives with operational capacity and strategic goals.
- Monitor behavioral health market trends, policy changes, and payer developments.
- Analyze opportunities to differentiate Gosnold within the behavioral health marketplace.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
