This role is responsible for ensuring a zero-harm environment through rigorous auditing, incident investigation, and high-impact training. Beyond safety, you will own the site’s broader training ecosystem, ensuring every team member is equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed. While primarily site-focused, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide indirect guidance to other locations as we standardize our safety and training protocols.

- Regulatory & 3rd Party Liaison: Manage all OSHA paperwork and reporting requirements. Coordinate with third-party vendors for safety equipment inspections, environmental testing, or specialized safety services.
- Incident Investigation: Act as the lead investigator for all safety incidents or "near misses," identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Emergency Preparedness: Maintain and update the site’s Emergency Response Plan, ensuring all staff are prepared for evacuation or medical emergencies.
Specialized Site Programs
- FOD & JSA Ownership: Manage the Foreign Object Debris (FOD) program to protect product integrity and lead the development/maintenance of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for all site roles.
- 5S / 6S Program: Drive the site’s 5S/6S initiatives (Sort, set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, + Safety) to maintain a world-class organized and efficient workspace.
Training & Development
- Safety Onboarding & Training: Conduct safety orientations for all new hires and lead ongoing training sessions for existing teams on safety protocols and best practices.
- Site-Wide Skill Development: Own the development and implementation of non-safety training programs (e.g., technical skills, operational SOPs, or soft skills).
- Resource Coordination: Partner with HR and Site Leadership to identify skill gaps and bring in external training resources or specialized consultants as needed.
- Records Management: Maintain a meticulously organized training matrix and records database to ensure 100% compliance during internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in an EH&S or Industrial Training role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred. Familiarity with ISO 45001 is a plus.
- Communication: Strong public speaking and facilitation skills; ability to engage an audience and translate complex regulations into actionable steps.
- Critical Thinking: A proactive "safety-first" mindset with the ability to conduct thorough root-cause analyses.
- Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from 5S audits to complex training schedules.
