Job Description
Production Education Assistant -Technical Theater
Support facilitation of technical needs
Saturdays- Assist EAs in obtaining equipment and materials for classes, walkie distribution (sign in/out sheet), Lighting booth supervision, Audio console, adaptors, cables,
Rehearsals- Confirm needed instruments are present, aid in execution of lighting needs,
Shares- report to Coordinator, Youth & Emerging Artist Development, Youth & Emerging Artist Development & Stage Manager any obtained technical updates, be present for technical rehearsals, aid in the movement of AED students in dressing rooms, lounge, off stage and possibly on-stage
Rentals- Client liaison, run crew for lighting & audio
BCB- aid in backline setup and breakdown for NJPAC external events,
Programing Q-lab
Add cues to the lighting board
Aid in AED virtual events and presentations
Support in keeping Arts Ed tech equipment in good condition (maintenance)
Report to Coordinator, Youth & Emerging Artist Development, Youth & Emerging Artist Development and Manager when equipment shows signs of wear and tear.
Be present for equipment maintenance when scheduled (part of training)
Aid in the organization and storage of equipment.
Take technical theater and stage management notes during arts training classes.
Those PEAs who take full advantage of the Stage Management training will assist hired SMs or step in as primary SM during Saturday & Summer classes

Report to Coordinator, Youth & Emerging Artist Development all technical needs, suggestions & concerns.
Weekly/Bi-weekly/Monthly meetings for debriefing
Attend technical theater training when scheduled on a consistent basis.
Classes & workshops
Group outings (ex: Prudential Center)
Stay up to date on technical theater resources and practices.
Practice and assert production safety measures during performance events and on NJPAC campus.
