Moving Light Technician - New Jersey in Teterboro, New Jersey at Kensington Management Resources LLC

We are looking for a Moving Light Technician to support Main Light Tri-State’s moving lights department. This position is responsible for maintaining equipment in rental-ready condition while staging gear for customer orders. The role focuses on prepping, cleaning, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs as needed while following company standards and procedures.

• Ensuring all equipment is maintained in rental-ready condition.
• Staging rental and used sales orders within the moving lights department.
• Identifying damaged or malfunctioning equipment and creating repair orders as needed.
• Performing routine cleaning and maintenance to keep the department organized and efficient.
• Testing and inspecting equipment before it returns to rental inventory.
• Assisting other departments as needed.

• Comprehensive knowledge of professional moving-light technology, including fixture operation, DMX/RDM, lighting control systems, and networking.
• Familiarity with major entertainment lighting manufacturers and rental-industry equipment standards.
• Strong understanding of equipment reliability, quality control, and safe handling practices.
• Experience with grandMA3 software preferred.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and staying calm under pressure.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
