Networking Technician - New Jersey in Teterboro, New Jersey at Kensington Management Resources LLC

We are looking for a Consoles/Networking Technician to support Main Light Tri-State’s electronics department. This position is responsible for maintaining equipment in rental-ready condition, staging gear for customer orders, troubleshooting networking issues, and building and testing networking racks. The role focuses on prepping, cleaning, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs while following company standards and procedures.

• Ensuring all equipment is maintained in rental-ready condition.
• Staging rental and used sales orders within the department.
• Troubleshooting networking issues as they arise.
• Building and testing networking racks with various equipment.
• Identifying damaged or malfunctioning equipment and creating repair orders as needed.
• Performing routine cleaning and maintenance to keep the department organized and efficient.
• Assisting other departments as needed.

• Comprehensive knowledge of professional lighting technology, including lighting control systems, networking, electrical and mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, and systematic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with major entertainment electronics manufacturers and rental-industry equipment standards.
• Strong understanding of equipment reliability, quality control, and safe handling practices.
• Experience with grandMA3 and ETC Eos platforms required.
• Knowledge of general entertainment networking protocols required.
• Knowledge of more complex managed networks preferred.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and staying calm under pressure.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
