This role offers the opportunity to lead a critical enterprise application implementation project within a mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will oversee the internal delivery of a major ERP transformation, ensuring business needs, timelines, resources, and technical requirements are aligned. Working across departments and with external implementation partners, this position will play a key role in driving project success from planning through go-live and stabilization. The role requires strong coordination, governance, and communication skills to support effective adoption of new systems. As a remote position, it provides flexibility while collaborating with teams across Canada. The Application Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for leading internal project activities, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation outcomes. This role will act as the central point of coordination between business teams, technical resources, and external partners while maintaining strong project governance and operational readiness.
- Develop and maintain the internal implementation plan, including milestones, dependencies, deliverables, ownership, and timelines.
- Coordinate requirements gathering, process reviews, configuration validation, testing activities, and business decision-making.
- Maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, risk and issue logs, decision trackers, change requests, testing dashboards, and status reports.
- Coordinate technical dependencies related to integrations, data exchanges, access, security, privacy, and system readiness.
- Support change management activities, including training coordination, documentation, communications, and user adoption preparation.
- Lead go-live readiness activities, ensuring testing completion, approvals, data validation, support processes, and transition plans are in place.
- Monitor risks, issues, project scope, budget, vendor performance, and implementation quality while escalating concerns when needed.
- Provide clear updates to leadership and stakeholders regarding progress, decisions, risks, financial status, and project health.
- Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, subject-matter experts, and external implementation partners.
- Support post-launch stabilization, knowledge transfer, documentation, and transition to long-term system ownership.
The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience combined with knowledge of enterprise systems, business processes, and organizational change. They should be comfortable managing complex implementations, coordinating diverse stakeholders, and driving structured delivery in a collaborative environment.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, information systems, project management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing ERP, finance system, or enterprise application implementations.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, external vendors, implementation partners, and business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, issue resolution, testing coordination, data migration, change management, and go-live preparation.
- Working knowledge of finance and accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms, including ERP concepts such as chart of accounts, multi-entity structures, reporting, searches, configuration, or customization.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, statements of work, deliverable acceptance, change requests, and contractual commitments.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, actuals, variances, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting organizational change management and user adoption initiatives.
- Strong business analysis and process-mapping capabilities to assess requirements and define effective solutions.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Asana, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with waterfall, agile, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Project management certification or formal project management training is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $78,000 to $92,000 CAD, based on experience, skills, and role complexity.
- Fully remote work opportunity available anywhere in Canada.
- 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
