Job Description

Job Summary:

The Deposit Operations staff performs a variety of duties to support the bank’s branch staff regarding deposit accounts and ensure accurate and efficient processing and recordkeeping for the bank.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and monitors online banking, mobile banking, and eStatement enrollment.
  • Supports cash management and retail banking platforms including adding accounts, creating and reviewing cash management, and ACH setups.
  • Maintains and monitors daily reports.
  • Processes daily chargeback items.
  • Processes IOLTA reporting Quarterly Reporting.
  • Balances department-related General Ledger accounts.
  • Prepares and records daily and monthly operational data for department reports.
  • Order/sell cash through the Federal Reserve and Rochester.
  • Process Garnishments/Levies.
  • Process incoming and external wires according to procedures.
  • Maintain debit card program.
  • File maintenance and quality control.
  • Processing daily notices, interest checks, and other bank checks.
  • Cash letter and return processing.
  • Review and communicate unposted items.
  • Process charge-offs and collection items.
  • Updates and maintains department procedures.
  • Completes online training as assigned.
  • Processes and monitors fraudulent disputes.
  • Act as a resource for other bank employees and officers.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ years customer service experience
  • Banking experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and phone
  • Creativity and resourcefulness
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks
  • Detail-oriented problem solver

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
