Product Manager - Hyperspectral Imaging

This role sits at the intersection of advanced imaging technology, market innovation, and strategic product leadership. You will be responsible for shaping the future of hyperspectral imaging solutions that are transforming industries such as food safety, recycling, mining, and environmental monitoring. Acting as a key driver of both technical and commercial strategy, you will translate complex scientific capabilities into scalable, high-impact products. The position involves close collaboration with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams across global functions. You will explore emerging applications, define product roadmaps, and influence how a rapidly evolving technology is adopted worldwide. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role where scientific depth, market vision, and entrepreneurial thinking come together to deliver meaningful real-world impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for hyperspectral imaging solutions across industrial and emerging markets.
  • Identify new applications, market opportunities, and commercial potential for hyperspectral technologies.
  • Translate customer needs and scientific insights into clear technical requirements and product specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to drive product development and execution.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across business units to ensure coherent strategy and delivery of complex product initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Champion innovation by challenging assumptions and identifying new ways to expand product value and performance.
  • Support commercialization efforts by enabling successful product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Act as a key bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on vision and execution.
  • Influence long-term platform evolution and contribute to the growth of an emerging global market.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, technical product leadership, or similar roles in imaging, optics, sensing, or spectroscopy.
  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
  • Strong understanding of hyperspectral imaging or closely related technologies such as optical sensing or spectrometer-based systems.
  • Proven ability to define product roadmaps and translate complex technical capabilities into market-ready solutions.
  • Experience working across R&D, engineering, and commercial teams in a highly technical environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate markets, applications, and business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical depth and strategic business discussions.
  • Entrepreneurial, innovative, and comfortable working with ambiguity in emerging technology spaces.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across cross-functional and global teams.
  • Experience in industrial applications such as manufacturing, environmental monitoring, or resource industries is an asset.
