This role is focused on transforming complex insurance data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the business. You will work in a highly data-driven environment, partnering closely with data leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality analysis and reporting. The position emphasizes strong SQL expertise and deep analytical thinking to uncover trends, improve data quality, and enable better business outcomes. You will contribute to both ongoing initiatives and ad hoc requests, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and meaningful. A key part of the role involves translating business questions into structured analytical approaches and communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. This is a remote opportunity within a collaborative, fast-paced environment where data is central to decision-making in the insurance domain.
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights supporting insurance operations and strategy.
- Translate business requirements into structured SQL-based analysis and deliver clear, concise findings to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support performance monitoring and decision-making.
- Collect, clean, validate, and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability across reporting systems.
- Collaborate with business, analytics, and technology teams to support key initiatives, data projects, and ongoing analytical needs.
- Support data quality improvements, documentation efforts, and ad hoc analysis requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process or dataset improvements.
This role requires 8–10 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, with a strong foundation in SQL and advanced Excel capabilities. Candidates should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large and complex datasets in an insurance or similarly regulated environment. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is essential, along with the ability to clearly communicate insights to diverse stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills are required to work effectively across business and technical teams in a remote setting. Familiarity with data modeling concepts, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and tools such as Python, R, or Databricks is considered an asset. A degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL for complex data querying and analysis
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)

- Experience in the insurance domain is strongly preferred
