Overview
The Ascendancy Group is seeking a highly qualified Military Deception (MILDEC) Planner. This role requires specialized training and experience in MILDEC operations, coordination with intelligence and operational elements, and synchronization with broader Information Operations (IO) and non-kinetic capabilities.
Security Requirement:
- A Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Draft, coordinate, and execute MILDEC plans and orders to enhance operational effectiveness, reduce casualties, and protect equipment
- Provide subject matter expertise to USCENTCOM Component Commands for MILDEC planning, coordination, and de-confliction
- Assess MILDEC operations using defined Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE)
- Coordinate with Counterintelligence assets to ensure alignment and operational security
- Synchronize MILDEC activities with Computer Network Operations (CNO), Electronic Warfare (EW), OPSEC, and Military Information Support Operations (MISO)
- Support integration of MILDEC into Joint Planning Teams (JPT) and Operational Planning Teams (OPT)
- Coordinate FOIA requests and Mandatory Declassification Reviews (MDR), ensuring compliance with USCENTCOM directives and legal standards.
- Conduct file searches, advise CCJ5 on declassification, and safeguard plans and orders.
Position Requirements:
- Graduate of the Defense MILDEC Training Course.
- Graduate of a Service or Joint-level MILDEC training course per USCENTCOM R-525-3
- 5+ years of MILDEC planning experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Deep understanding of joint deception doctrine and operational planning
- Experience working in high-level joint or combined headquarters environments
- Strong analytical skills for assessing deception effectiveness
- Ability to collaborate across intelligence, cyber, and IO communities
- Familiarity with USCENTCOM AOR and strategic planning processes
