Job Summary
We are seeking professional, vigilant, and highly disciplined Armed Security Officers to provide comprehensive safety and asset protection for upcoming special events related to the election cycle. In this role, you will maintain a highly visible, neutralizing presence to deter disruptions, protect venue infrastructure, and ensure a safe environment for all event staff, voters, and attendees.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional situational awareness, strict de-escalation skills, and a professional demeanor that respects public assembly and democratic processes while firmly maintaining safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Access Control & Asset Protection: Monitor designated entry and exit points, verify credentials, and conduct screening protocols for incoming attendees and staff.
• Visible Deterrence: Maintain a high-visibility, professional posture to safeguard property, polling/event materials, and personnel against theft, vandalism, or disorder.
• De-escalation & Conflict Resolution: Actively defuse verbally tense or disruptive situations using professional communication techniques before they escalate.
• Emergency Response: Rapidly respond to security breaches, medical emergencies, or safety hazards according to established protocols, collaborating smoothly with local law enforcement if required.
• Incident Documentation: Maintain accurate daily activity logs and write comprehensive, detailed reports regarding any security incidents, breaches, or safety hazards.

Position Requirements

• Licensing: Must possess a current, valid state-issued Armed Security Guard License/Registration Card (e.g., DCJS in Virginia, or equivalent state certification).
• Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older (required for armed roles).
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military operations. Experience with crowd control or high-profile public events is strongly preferred.
• Firearm & Gear: Must own and maintain an authorized duty weapon, duty belt, and retention holster complying with state security regulations. Must hold current firearm certification.
• Background Check: Ability to successfully pass a rigorous criminal background check, fingerprinting, and a pre-employment drug screening.
• Professionalism: Strict adherence to strict neutrality while on duty. Officers must remain entirely non-partisan, objective, and focused solely on safety, without engaging in political discussions or expressing personal opinions.
