The District Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving revenue objectives, managing sales activities, and leading a district team focused on delivering strong customer outcomes. This role requires a strategic mindset, effective people leadership, and the ability to build lasting relationships with healthcare providers and internal teams.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies to achieve district business objectives and revenue targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop sales representatives through training, performance feedback, career development planning, and ongoing support.
- Conduct field visits, customer meetings, and account engagements to strengthen sales execution and maximize business opportunities.
- Communicate organizational goals, priorities, and initiatives while ensuring alignment across the district team.
- Manage district resources, including budgets, forecasts, inventory, expenses, and operational performance.
- Build and maintain ethical, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and represent organizational values with customers.
- Coordinate with regional teams and other product specialists to maximize collaboration and overall market performance.
- Recruit and interview candidates to build a strong talent pipeline and support workforce diversity objectives.
- Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to sales and marketing leadership.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, industry standards, and all applicable policies and regulations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare sales leader with a strong track record of achieving results, developing teams, and building trusted customer relationships. Success in this role requires commercial expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a field-based environment.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant sales experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience.
- Proven success in medical device sales, healthcare technology, or a related industry.
- Experience managing sales teams, coaching employees, and driving performance improvement.
- Strong understanding of healthcare sales environments, customer needs, and market development strategies.
- Experience with ENT, surgical technologies, or related medical products is preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and sales objectives.
- Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel extensively by car and plane within the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle required.
- Competitive base salary of approximately $145,000 annually, depending on experience, education, location, and other relevant factors.
