Job Description
NorthStar Behavioral Health is seeking an organized and professional Therapist to join our team. The Therapist plays a key role in the recovery process by providing individualized, evidence-based therapeutic services that address clients’ mental health, substance use, behavioral, and emotional needs. The Therapist works collaboratively with clients and the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans, identify barriers to recovery, build healthy coping skills, support relapse prevention, and promote long-term stability and wellness.

What We Require for the Therapist Role:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT).
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear.
- The employee is frequently required to walk, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. (The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds).
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Keyboard data entry required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen.
- Current vaccination for tuberculosis (TB) or willingness to be vaccinated upon hire.
- Duties may involve exposure to individuals experiencing mental health crises, substance use concerns, emotional distress, or behavioral challenges.
Occasional local travel may be required for meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, home visits, or service coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of (1) year of experience providing assessment, treatment, and care coordination services to individuals with complex co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Experience working with diverse populations and high-acuity behavioral health needs preferred.Key Job Responsibilities:

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
