This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Motion Designer – Temporary based in Canada.
This temporary role offers the opportunity to create polished motion and video content across a wide range of marketing and brand initiatives. You will contribute to projects spanning brand videos, events, social media, web experiences, promotional campaigns, and other digital channels. Working within established creative direction, you will transform concepts and designs into engaging visual stories that communicate ideas clearly and effectively. You will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and stakeholders while managing multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment. The role is highly hands-on and well suited to an experienced designer who can quickly integrate into existing workflows. You will also have opportunities to explore AI and generative creative tools to enhance ideation and production efficiency.
- Create motion and video content for brand campaigns, events, promotional materials, social media, websites, presentations, and other marketing channels.
- Take projects from initial briefs or storyboards through animation, video editing, revisions, and final delivery.
- Translate marketing and product messaging into compelling, clear, and engaging visual stories.
- Work within established brand guidelines and creative direction to maintain a consistent visual identity across deliverables.
- Adapt existing designs, creative concepts, templates, and assets into motion for different formats, platforms, and audiences.
- Support larger campaigns and events through video edits, social clips, web animations, GIFs, presentation content, and other motion assets.
- Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders throughout the creative development process.
- Manage multiple creative deliverables efficiently while incorporating feedback and meeting project requirements.
- Use established motion systems, templates, and creative assets effectively while identifying opportunities for appropriate improvements.
- Explore AI and generative creative tools that can enhance ideation, production workflows, and creative efficiency.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, video editing, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, animation, video editing, and visual storytelling capabilities.
- Solid understanding of animation principles, typography, composition, pacing, and core design fundamentals.
- Ability to translate creative direction and established brand guidelines into polished final work.
- Comfortable taking feedback, making revisions, and managing several deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong visual communication and storytelling skills.
- Collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to quickly integrate into existing creative workflows.
- Comfortable working efficiently in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Interest in AI-powered and generative creative tools and their practical application to design and production workflows.
