Job Description

Product Designer, Partnerships and Brand Experience

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Designer, Partnerships and Brand Experience based in Canada.

The Product Designer will shape compelling experiences at the intersection of partnerships, product design, go-to-market initiatives, and brand expression.
You’ll help turn ambitious ideas into tangible product concepts, interactive prototypes, and polished experiences that create value for customers and partners.
The role places a strong emphasis on prototyping, motion, visual design, storytelling, and high-quality production craft.
You’ll work closely with Business Development, Sales, Product, Marketing, Engineering, Data, and Brand teams to bring new opportunities from concept to execution.
Beyond partnerships, you’ll help translate evolving brand principles into consistent, engaging experiences across the broader product.
The environment combines startup-style experimentation with the resources and scale of an established product organization.
This is an opportunity for a versatile designer who thrives on ambiguity, enjoys making ideas tangible, and wants to influence both business outcomes and product experiences.

Accountabilities
  • Lead significant portions of the product experience and take ownership of the design work and business outcomes associated with key initiatives.
  • Transform ambiguous or early-stage ideas into compelling product and business concepts, helping establish clear opportunities, success criteria, and execution plans.
  • Conduct user research, lightweight usability testing, and validation activities to help scope, prioritize, and refine product initiatives.
  • Create interactive prototypes, product concepts, demos, and motion-rich experiences that help communicate and validate new partnership and go-to-market opportunities.
  • Develop polished micro-interactions, transitions, animations, and other visual details that elevate the quality and usability of product experiences.
  • Help translate brand-system principles into product through motion, iconography, interaction patterns, and visual design.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, Go-to-Market Operations, Product, Marketing, Engineering, Data, Applied Science, and Brand teams to develop and deliver effective solutions.
  • Use strong visual storytelling and presentation skills to communicate concepts, align stakeholders, and influence product and business decisions.
  • Coordinate across teams to establish shared understanding, maintain alignment, and keep initiatives moving from early exploration through execution.
  • Drive high-impact initiatives from initial concept through scale, while evaluating performance against success criteria and thoughtfully sunsetting initiatives that no longer demonstrate sufficient value.
  • Share research findings, customer insights, and design learnings to inform future product decisions and encourage a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of professional product design experience, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality digital product work.
  • Combination of agency and in-house product design experience, with the ability to adapt between strategic exploration and hands-on execution.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including the ability to create everything from low-fidelity flows to highly polished, interactive prototypes.
  • Demonstrated experience with motion design, micro-interactions, transitions, and animation, with exceptional attention to timing, detail, and visual craft.
  • Experience translating brand systems into digital product experiences through visual design, motion, iconography, and interface refinement.
  • Strong product-design fundamentals and the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, brand considerations, and technical constraints.
  • Understanding of technical feasibility and the ability to partner effectively with engineers to turn design concepts into production-ready experiences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to explain design rationale and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where priorities evolve and new opportunities need to be explored quickly.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across product, business, marketing, engineering, data, and brand functions.
  • Curious, proactive, and outcome-oriented mindset, with an appetite for experimentation and continuous learning.
  • Ability to connect deep user insights with broader product and business opportunities and use those insights to guide design decisions.
  • Candidates should be based in Ontario or British Columbia, Canada.
Benefits
  • Compensation: Expected total cash compensation of $131,800–$170,500, including base salary and variable pay where applicable.
  • Remote work: Fully remote role for eligible candidates based in Ontario or British Columbia.
  • Flexible environment: Work within a product organization that combines the autonomy and experimentation of a startup-style team with the scale of an established company.
  • Career development: Collaborate with experienced designers, researchers, engineers, product managers, and cross-functional specialists while expanding your product and design expertise.
  • Creative ownership: Significant opportunity to influence product experiences, partnership initiatives, brand expression, and new business opportunities.
  • Cross-functional exposure: Work closely with teams spanning partnerships, sales, marketing, product, engineering, data, applied science, and brand.
  • Inclusive culture: Join an equal-opportunity workplace committed to diversity, accessibility, and creating an environment where people with different backgrounds and perspectives can thrive.
  • Meaningful impact: Help create experiences that connect customers with trusted professionals while contributing to new growth opportunities and the evolution of the broader product experience.
