Job Description

About Kerix

Kerix is a healthcare organization focused exclusively on membership-based medicine. We believe healthcare should be personal, accessible, and proactive—and that stronger relationships between clinicians and patients lead to better care and better outcomes.

Kerix operates through two business units:

KerixHealth owns and operates Direct Primary Care clinics across the country, providing patients with more time with their care teams, convenient access, and a proactive approach to their health. Our organization includes KerixHealth and AdvocateMD.

Specialdocs Consultants helps physicians transition from traditional fee-for-service medicine to concierge medicine, creating more sustainable and relationship-centered practices.

Across our organization, we are united by a shared mission: to restore healthcare by putting people back at the center of care. Our model emphasizes same- or next-day appointments, longer and more meaningful visits, direct access to care teams, preventive care, transparent pricing, and coordination throughout the healthcare journey.

Kerix is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with teams and practices located across the country. Learn more at Kerix.com.

About the Role

Tired of rushing from one patient to the next? At KerixHealth, you’ll have the time to actually know your patients, not just their charts. Nursing is better when you can build the kind of relationships that make this work meaningful.

Our Direct Primary Care model means smaller patient panels and longer visits. As an LPN in our Northbrook office, you’ll be the familiar face patients trust and look forward to seeing. You’ll work under the direct supervision of our physicians on clinical matters and our Director of Patient Success on administrative matters, helping patients get exceptional care and navigate the broader healthcare system with confidence.

What You’ll Do

Clinical care

  • Greet and room patients, creating a warm, welcoming experience from the moment they arrive
  • Perform vital signs and routine diagnostic or therapeutic testing
  • Perform blood draws and other specimen collection (urine, vaginal, and stool), with phlebotomy as a core, daily part of this role
  • Perform waived lab testing and routine quality control checks
  • Join our daily morning clinical care meeting with the Director of Patient Success to review and discuss patient care

Care coordination

  • Serve as a trusted resource and point of contact for patients referred to specialists and other services
  • Schedule specialty appointments, x-rays, and procedures
  • Respond to and document referral requests per established protocols
  • Obtain outside medical records and organize them in our EMR

Keeping the practice running smoothly

  • Order and restock medical supplies
  • Keep exam rooms clean, safe, and ready for patient visits
  • Other duties as needed to support our patients and team
What We’re Looking For

Requirements

  • Active LPN license
  • Strong, proven phlebotomy skills. Blood draws are a key task in this role, and we’re looking for an LPN who is very comfortable performing phlebotomy in an office setting
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an LPN
  • Comfort with technology: Google Docs, Apple computers, and electronic medical records, plus the ability to quickly learn other tools we use (PDF organizers, the Quest laboratory system, and more)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • US work authorization

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Enjoy building lasting relationships with patients
  • Are energized by both hands-on patient care and administrative work
  • Multitask well in a fast-paced, high-touch professional environment
  • Bring a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Pick up new technology quickly
What We Offer
  • Generous health care package for full-time employees
  • Free primary care for you, your spouse, and your dependents under 18
  • 401(k) with eligibility after 6 months
  • 10 days of paid time off in your first year, increasing each year
  • A collaborative, supportive team that genuinely enjoys working together
Ready to Give Patients the Care They Deserve?

If you’re an experienced LPN who wants more time with your patients and a team that values what you bring, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today.
