After Care Program Co-Director Maternity Leav in New York, New York at Windward School

• Plan and organize a structured program consisting of educational and recreational activities according to age group for year-round after school program that runs from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
• Supervise, guide and support staff participating in the program.
• Maintain a high level of communication with staff members and families.
• Develop a weekly schedule of after-school activities including creative, recreational, and engaging activities for students.
• Maintain data and reports related to the program.
• Work with the business office, food service, and Facilities Department to secure snacks, space, and security for the After Care Program.
• Ensure that adequate supplies and equipment are available for participants and monitor spending within the approved budget plan for the After Care Program
• Oversee all schedules and backfilling staff as needed, and ensure time is reported and approved for payroll.
• Act as a liaison to campus heads, teachers, facilities, and other school staff participating in the program.
• Bachelor’s degree in child development, elementary education, or related field.
• Ability to be on-duty in the After Care Director role until 6pm, Mon – Thurs.
• Ability to manage and resolve complex situations.
