CASAC Counselor in Seaford, New York at ACLD

Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)

Part-time: 10 hours per week (day/evening availability required)

Salary: $27-31/hour

Location: Seaford, NY

In this position, you will:

• Provide case management, substance abuse counseling, and advocacy services
• Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team to facilitate the client recovery and rehabilitation processes
• Develops educational topics and facilitates group counseling
• Maintain case records, updates treatment plans, writes progress notes and psychosocial histories

We require:

• Must be certified by NYS OASAS as a CASAC
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in a related field
• At least 1 year of experience working with chemical dependency and/or mental health experience required including group experience
• Maintains yearly educational requirements for timely renewal of OASAS credential
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written
