The Senior Capture Manager will lead strategic capture activities for large-scale Army and Defense Agency opportunities, driving business growth through disciplined pursuit management, customer engagement, and differentiated solution development.
- Develop and execute capture strategies for new business and recompete opportunities, including complex contracts valued above $50M.
- Lead capture pursuits using structured business development processes, managing schedules, budgets, milestones, and performance reporting.
- Create compelling win strategies incorporating customer engagement, solution development, competitive analysis, teaming approaches, pricing strategies, and bid/no-bid recommendations.
- Collaborate with business development, growth, delivery, and profit-and-loss leadership teams to align opportunities with organizational objectives.
- Develop competitive pricing approaches and solutions that support profitable, executable programs while meeting customer requirements.
- Shape opportunities throughout the entire growth lifecycle to increase probability of success.
- Provide market insights and contribute to account strategies aligned with long-term business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration between technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility into opportunity performance and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
The ideal candidate is an experienced capture professional with a strong background in federal contracting, defense programs, and large-scale technology opportunities. The role requires strategic thinking, leadership ability, and experience managing complex pursuits.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience leading capture activities for large and complex Department of Defense opportunities.
- Demonstrated success managing $50M+ competitive capture opportunities, particularly involving information technology, managed services, or as-a-Service delivery models.
- Experience working within Tier 1 federal systems integrator environments is strongly preferred.
- Active Secret security clearance required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, market dynamics, and customer engagement strategies.
- Proven ability to develop actionable plans using industry and market knowledge.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, solve complex problems, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting GSA Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) is a plus.
- Willingness to provide a record of previous capture opportunities and outcomes without disclosing proprietary information.
- Ability to work remotely with travel requirements based on business needs.
- Competitive annual salary range of $149,469 to $201,250 USD, depending on experience, location, skills, and contractual requirements.
