This role is designed for an experienced sales leader who can accelerate growth across the life insurance and annuity distribution landscape.
The position will focus on building strategic partnerships with independent distribution networks and expanding market presence across the Western United States.
The successful candidate will combine industry expertise, relationship-building skills, and commercial leadership to drive profitable business results.
Working remotely, this leader will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen distribution channels and improve sales performance.

This position requires a proactive, consultative approach and a strong understanding of insurance products, producers, and market dynamics.
The Regional Vice President will lead regional sales expansion by developing distribution strategies, strengthening partner relationships, and driving measurable business outcomes. This role requires strong ownership of territory performance, partner engagement, and market development initiatives.
- Achieve regional production goals, including new business targets and annual sales objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and create strategic growth plans with distribution partners.
- Execute sales initiatives that increase profitable growth while maintaining quality and persistency standards.
- Recruit, develop, and manage relationships with Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), Managing General Agencies (MGAs), General Agents, producer groups, and independent producers.
- Lead onboarding and integration activities for new distribution partners.
- Conduct regular agency visits, business reviews, and performance discussions to identify opportunities and address challenges.
- Monitor sales results, analyze performance trends, and implement improvement plans when needed.
- Serve as a product and sales strategy expert, supporting product launches, training sessions, workshops, and presentations.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and sales teams to improve field effectiveness and resolve partner needs.
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and external partners to support business objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in life insurance distribution, sales leadership, and partner development, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive growth across a complex territory.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of insurance industry experience with strong knowledge of life insurance products, including whole life, indexed universal life, term life, and annuity solutions.
- Proven success recruiting and developing independent distribution partners, including IMOs, MGAs, producer groups, and insurance agents.
- Experience managing sales territories and executing regional growth strategies.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, marketing, operations, and other business functions.
- Experience leading business reviews, sales planning discussions, and product training sessions.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, sales reporting platforms, presentation tools, and insurance sales illustration software.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including 50% or more throughout the assigned region.
- Established relationships within the insurance agency and producer community are highly valued.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are considered a plus.
