This seasonal role offers the opportunity to help individuals make informed decisions about their health insurance coverage.
You will guide customers through important healthcare choices by providing personalized support, education, and recommendations.
Working in a remote call center environment, you will combine customer service, sales expertise, and problem-solving skills.

Accountabilities:

The Associate Benefit Advisor will support customers by providing knowledgeable guidance on health insurance options while delivering a high-quality sales and service experience. This role requires strong communication skills, customer empathy, and the ability to manage conversations effectively in a fast-paced call center environment.

  • Guide beneficiaries through health insurance options by listening to their needs, answering questions, and recommending suitable coverage solutions.
  • Conduct phone consultations with customers to help them understand available plans and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Support sales activities by handling inbound calls, following up on leads, and identifying opportunities for additional products when appropriate.
  • Meet established performance goals, sales targets, and service quality expectations.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and documentation while navigating multiple systems and applications.
  • Explain insurance products clearly and professionally while ensuring customers receive accurate guidance.
  • Participate in training programs, coaching sessions, and ongoing development activities.
  • Stay informed on health insurance offerings, industry requirements, and customer support best practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer experiences by demonstrating integrity, accountability, and a commitment to helping others.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve customer needs and improve overall service delivery.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a motivated customer-focused professional who is interested in developing a career in the insurance industry. This role requires strong communication abilities, sales aptitude, technical confidence, and a willingness to learn and grow in a regulated environment.

  • Ability to obtain a resident state health insurance license or currently hold an active health insurance license.
  • Previous sales experience or strong interest in developing sales skills.
  • Customer service experience with the ability to understand and address individual needs.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and confidence speaking with customers over the phone.
  • Ability to learn insurance concepts, products, and compliance requirements quickly.
  • Comfortable using multiple computer systems and navigating various applications simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage conversations while maintaining accuracy.
  • Coachable mindset with a willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and extended hours during peak enrollment periods.
