The Senior Manager, Revenue and Billing will lead critical revenue operations and billing processes within a fast-growing technology environment.
This role combines technical accounting expertise, operational leadership, and process innovation to optimize the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
You will oversee global billing and revenue recognition activities while leveraging AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

The Senior Manager, Revenue and Billing will own end-to-end revenue accounting and billing operations while leading process improvements, technology initiatives, and a global accounting team.
- Manage global revenue accounting operations and monthly close activities in alignment with ASC 606, U.S. GAAP, and internal revenue recognition policies.
- Lead initiatives to streamline month-end close processes by automating manual workflows and improving reconciliation efficiency.
- Review complex customer contracts, including contract modifications, standalone selling price analyses, and principal-versus-agent assessments, ensuring accurate accounting conclusions.
- Partner with Sales and Legal teams to advise on deal structures and ensure revenue compliance during contract negotiations.
- Own billing operations across new deals, renewals, usage-based billing, and overages while monitoring key operational metrics and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Use AI-enabled tools to detect billing anomalies, accelerate reconciliations, and improve reporting accuracy.
- Design, implement, and enhance SOX-compliant internal controls, audit documentation, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
- Collaborate with FP&A and leadership teams on revenue analysis, reporting insights, and executive-level financial materials.
- Represent billing and revenue operations in evaluations and improvements of financial systems and technology platforms.
- Lead and develop a global team of accounting, billing, and revenue professionals, including managers and individual contributors.
- Establish performance goals, support career development, and promote AI-assisted workflows to improve team effectiveness.
The ideal candidate combines deep revenue accounting expertise, operational leadership experience, and a strong ability to drive technology-enabled transformation.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in revenue recognition, billing operations, or related accounting functions.
- Extensive knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles within a SaaS or technology environment.
- Strong experience managing global teams, including direct management of people leaders and distributed teams of 10+ professionals.
- Proven ability to design and implement SOX-compliant controls within quote-to-cash and revenue processes.
- Experience working with billing platforms, ERP systems, and CRM tools such as BillingPlatform, Sage Intacct, Salesforce, or similar technologies.
- Demonstrated success driving automation initiatives and adopting AI tools to improve accounting and operational workflows.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting matters, contract analysis, and revenue-related compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize competing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Experience with public company audits or Big 4 accounting environments preferred.
- Prior experience supporting ERP or billing platform implementations is a plus.
- Competitive base salary range of approximately $165,000–$175,000 annually.
