Accountabilities:

The Senior Manager - Contract Manufacturing will take ownership of supplier operations, procurement coordination, and external manufacturing initiatives for assigned products and services. This role will act as a key connection point between local teams and global stakeholders, ensuring reliable supply, strong supplier performance, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

  • Manage supplier operations for assigned products, materials, and services while ensuring reliable supply and timely issue resolution.
  • Coordinate procurement and material management processes, including purchasing requirements, goods receipt, invoice clarification, inventory oversight, and deviation management.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships by managing performance, commercial discussions, escalations, and improvement initiatives.
  • Lead supplier onboarding, qualification, and development activities in alignment with quality, regulatory, and internal process requirements.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, onboarding, and integration of external manufacturing partners and strategic suppliers.
  • Drive supply chain resilience initiatives, including supplier risk management, second-source development, process improvements, and continuity planning.
  • Serve as a senior cross-functional interface between Procurement, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, Planning, and Logistics teams.
  • Provide visibility into supply chain risks, bottlenecks, mitigation plans, and key decisions requiring stakeholder alignment.
  • Support supplier-related investigations, deviations, and corrective actions in partnership with Quality and other relevant functions.
  • Coordinate demand forecasting activities by aligning supplier capacity, production requirements, and business needs across teams.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in supply chain management, supplier relationships, and contract manufacturing within a regulated industry. You should be comfortable managing complex operations, influencing stakeholders across regions, and driving structured solutions in a dynamic environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 2–4 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, supplier management, external manufacturing, or contract manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Proven experience managing contract manufacturing organizations or external manufacturing partners.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing processes, supplier qualification, inventory management, MRP planning, goods receipt, and invoice verification.
  • Experience with supplier onboarding, supplier development, performance management, and commercial negotiations.
  • Demonstrated project management experience involving supplier transitions, second-source qualification, process improvements, or supply continuity initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS), regulated supplier processes, internal controls, and cross-functional quality requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams and different time zones.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive decisions with a strong ownership mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
